Job Description and Responsibilities
The following list covers the basics of what is expected from our Summer Staff:
Minimum Qualifications:
- You LOVE JESUS & KIDS! (rule #1). 
- You possess excellent character, integrity and adaptability. 
- You have enthusiasm, a sense of humor, patience and self-control. 
- You have a good attitude despite when things are difficult. 
- You are able to work outside with kids in summer heat for several hours at a time. 
- You can relate to your peer group. 
- You can accept supervision and guidance. 
- You can assist in teaching an activity. 
- You are at least 16 years of age. 
General Responsibilities:
- Provide a quality, safe environment for campers by providing continuous oversight from the time they arrive to the time they are picked up. 
- Ensure proper health and hygiene among campers is being maintained. 
- Understand, follow, and enforce all camp policies and standards of Hidden Falls Ranch. 
- Be a role model for the campers and other staff members. 
- Pray regularly for your campers and the staff. 
- Actively look for ways to encourage the campers and staff. 
- Assist activity leaders. 
- Participate with your campers in all scheduled activities. 
- Lead cabin time. 
- Sit with campers during mealtimes. 
- Take care of all camp facilities and equipment. 
- Represent the camp and its purpose in a positive manner when you are in public. 
- Be aware of your own health and well being. 
- All staff are required to attend staff training prior to the beginning of camp. 
- All wrangler and wall staff are required to attend training prior to the beginning of camp. 
- Attend all required meetings. 
- Any other duties, as assigned. 
Counselors are responsible to Activity Heads (if applicable), Boys/Girls Camp Directors and other senior staff members. Responsibilities include: maintaining the physical and spiritual health and well-being of a group of campers each day; leading cabin time; keeping campers on schedule for daily activities; facilitating games and activities; and most importantly, being a positive Christian role model for all campers. Counselors must have a mature and active faith in Christ. Counselors must be extremely flexible and responsible people.
